On Sept. 27, 1864 in Centralia, Mo. is where a massacre of 24 unarmed Union men were killed. This lead to the Battle of Centralia where the Confederates found victory, killing 123 out of 155 Union men in combat. On Sept. 13 and 14 of 2014 men and women gather at the Battlefield for the 150th anniversary and participate in a series of reenactment battles for the enjoyment of participants and viewers.
