Work Report
Although I will be submitting my final project in video format, I have only posted images that I've taken for the sake of time and space. I'm feeling confident in the direction that my project is going. I have finally chosen a main subject, which will be Becky, the woman who's family has grown the Ivan Tomato for centuries. I have an interview with her Tuesday afternoon, which is cutting it close but that was the only time she was available to meet.
Since my last work report I have gone with the group to the farmer's market, Earth Fest and to their greenhouse again. At the farmer's market I only took video, which I am very happy with. They set up during sunrise and I was able to capture some very pretty light.
There are a few more ideas I plan on trying before creating my final product. This will include going back to the greenhouse, going with them to the farmer's market again on Saturday and interviewing Laura (the leader behind the business of the tomato) and Becky (the family member of the heirloom).
I am excited to start piecing together what I have with the interview the guiding force. I hope to tell the story of the tomato through Becky and it's importance and significance in her family and Mid Missouri.
I know that I am still missing key interviews but I also hope to get some more details and try a few video techniques to keep the viewer's attention long enough to tell my story.
